We have registered for the AIFF Youth I-league in three categories namely: U-13, U-15 and U-18 Categories. Our Academy graduate Pandian Sinivasan has signed for Chennaiyin FC Indian Super League(ISL) team. Solaimalai, Mayakannan, Ganesan and Rajapandi have joined I-league teams Gokulam FC and Chennai City FC respectively.
In 2017/18, Our U-15 team has qualified from Chennai Zone for the final round of All India Youth League for U-15 category. Nivas.K has been selected for U16 Indian National camp and served as captain of U16 Tamil Nadu team along with Anirudh.M in the 2017/18. In 2018/19, Our U-18 team qualified from Chennai Zone to play All India Youth League at Goa for U-18 category.
For 2018/19, Our team won the South Zone Reliance Championship and qualified to play Reliance Nationals Championship at Mumbai. For 2018/19, Kowshik.D and Aravinda Krishna has been selected to play for Tamilnadu team in Sub Junior and Junior National Championship Sivasakthi – Our Captain and Goal Scorer of our U18 team became the Top Scorer of AIFF Youth U18 I-League with 22 goals in 12 matches and also the top scorer of Reliance Championship in Chennai Zone, South Zone and National Championship with 32 Goals. Youth I-League is the top most premier tournament for youth categories (U-13, U-15 and U-18) across India. AIFF conducts the tournament in Zone, Inter-Zone and National Basis. The teams that are participating in general was of ISL and I-League Junior teams barring few top level Academies that satisfy the FIFA and AIFF standards.
The matches are held in a home and away basis and each team must possess a ground(in FIFA Standards). Each team will be hosting the home matches.The tournament will have lot of media exposure with the coverage from all the regional and national medias along with the live scoring system at AIFF and I-League websites, Mobile apps and social media pages. RVSS is one among the six teams that are registered in Tamil Nadu and last year, we were the sole representatives of our zone in U-15 and U18 category, as our Under-15 and Under-18 team reached the nationals championships.
